Building Tool

The building site tool is to be used when defining a building where footprint and placement is specified by the user and not the algorithm. Three different types of building can be placed drawn and are based on a backbone or centerline along with a rectangular footprint. The three different tool types are defined below:

Point house:

  • Is defined by a point and direction.
  • The anchor point can be set as left corner, right corner, bottom center or center.
  • Specify a type plan used. Note that this type plan can be changed later.

Slab building:

  • Is defined by a polyline.
  • Each segment of the building polyline must be longer than 17 m. A corner can not be sharper than 70 degrees.
  • The polyline alignment can be defined as left, center or right.
  • A default unit distribution will be defined for the entire building which can be updated later.

Courtyard building:

  • Is defined by a polygon.
  • Each segment of the building polygon must be longer than 25 m. A corner can not be sharper than 70 degrees. Note that some complex shapes might result in no building generated.
  • The polygon alignment can be defined as left, center or right.
  • A default unit distribution will be defined for the entire building which can be updated later.
